Opportunity Rover tribute - premium t-shirt
Opportunity (nicknamed Oppy) is a robotic rover that launched in 2003, landed on Mars in January 2004 and remained operational until it stopped communicating in June 2018. It had a twin, Spirit, which landed 3 weeks before on the other side of Mars.
Both rovers were designed to survive on the surface of Mars for 90 sols (Martian days), however they completely overcame any expectations. Spirit was operational for 2208 sols, but Oppy stole the show with an incredible 5350 sols - exceeding its life expectancy by 60 times.
After travelling for 45km, since June 2018 it rests in the Perseverance Valley on Mars.
