The Apollo Lunar Module (originally named Lunar Excursion Module) was the lunar lander spacecraft designed and used during the Apollo Program of NASA, between 1968 and 1972.
Out of the 10 modules launched, it keeps a 10/10 score with 10 operational missions. Out of these, 6 modules actually landed on the Moon - carrying a total of 24 astronauts to the lunar surface.
It was the first spacecraft that was designed to operate solely in space. It also remains the only crewed vehicle in history that landed anywhere beyond Earth.
